Speaking of Mutual Sucking

Simon Sheppard, QSyndicate.com

Some of us like to give. Some of us like to get. But when it comes to oral sex, many of us like to give as good as we get – often at the same time. Mutual meat-eating's usually known as "69," since those numerals look kinda like two folks chowing down on one another's crotches. But whatever the math, it's a complexly cocksucking way to let one another know you care. Simultaneously.

"I love the reciprocity of it," enthuses one sixty-niner. "I can't figure out which guy's really the 'top' in oral sex, anyway, but when you suck each other at the same time, it's not at all about dominance. It's about providing each other equal pleasure."

Some simultaneous-sucking arrangements are more equal than others. One man lying facedown on his partner can seem a lot more power-based than a side-to-side suck-and-be-sucked. Even then, though, the principle of mutuality prevails – when a same-sex couple sixty-nines, each of them is doing pretty much the same thing, and both of them feel pretty much the same pleasures. And even when there's a variation on the theme, such as one guy eating ass or licking balls while the other one sucks dick, it's still all about slurp and be slurped.

But not everyone enjoys that. "I'm taking an antidepressant," one fellow says, "that seems to put me on a hair-trigger. Sixty-nining makes me come too quick, and in any case, I don't want to be distracted. I just want to give head, not get blown."

For the rest of us, though, the smirky "69" jokes of adolescence have matured into very adult fun. The simultaneous joys of having meat in the mouth and receiving penile pleasure create a crescendo of blow-job bliss. And there's something quite queer about it, a mirror-image sort of sex where what matters most is knowing what feels good to you, and doing that to another man.

Mutual sucking may be a bit more complicated than walking and chewing gum at the same time, but it's more enjoyable, too. A guy's oral sex skills can be mightily challenged by the dick-delighting distraction of being blown. And positionally, sixty-nining can make deep-throating tricky. But when it comes to having your head and eating it, too, most guys find the effort more than worth it. The joys of mutual pole-smoking can even cause some to wax philosophical. "There's just something so wonderfully powerful about 69 to me," gushes one guy. "It's like an infinite circuit or something. And when both of us come at the same time, it's damn near cosmic."

The standard cautions about oral sex apply: It's terrifically tough to get HIV from giving head, but other STDs can be transmitted both by going down and getting blown. If you're not going to wear a rubber – preferably a nonlubricated one – then the risks can be lowered by maintaining good oral health and keeping cum and precum out of your mouth. And if you've got a bad back, be careful when you sixty-nine.

When more than two guys are tonguing tool at the same time, the fun gets even more involved. One lucky fellow relates, "I joined a pair of lovers for a three-way. Pretty soon it became a real triangle, with each of our hard-ons in another guy's mouth. At first, it was a little confusing. But then it became amazingly hot."

Is it, in fact, more blessed to give than to receive? Or the other way around? When it comes to cocksucking, many of us would answer "both." So put your meat where your partner's mouth is. And vice versa.
