October 28, 2004
ZAGREB — A Croatian homosexuals' association said Friday it had received
death threats via e-mail that came from a computer at the country's
Dorino Manzin, president of the Iskorak (Step Forward)
organisation, said he had received three such e-mails since October
15. He was able to prove the e-mails came from the ministry
Ministry spokesman Mate Radeljic told the country's HINA news
agency Friday they were investigating Manzin's allegations and
would say more "as soon as the investigation is completed".
He added: "It is in the best interest of the Defence Ministry to
discover the sender, so that the ministry can avoid acquiring an
image of a homophobic and aggressive institution." – Sapa-dpa
