through the streets of Stockholm, the event's organisers said.

Under sunny skies a colourful march passed off peacefully and in
a light-hearted mood.
The traditional floats of different associations and
representatives of trade unions and mainstream political parties,
except the conservative Christian Democrats, took part in the high
point of the seventh Stockholm gay pride festival.
The five-day festival, attended by homosexuals, bisexuals and
transsexuals, is based in a city park.
Security was tighter and more visible this year than last when
only 25 police officers were on duty and rightwing extremists beat
up a young gay man near the Royal Palace. – Sapa-AFP
