Whoopi Goldberg sends love to Patrick Swayze

Getting emotional on TVs The View, talk turned to co-host Whoopi Goldbergs Ghost co-star Patrick Swayze, who was outed earlier this week by the tabloids when it was reported hes dying of pancreatic cancer and has mere weeks to live.
Doctors confirmed Swayze is suffering from the disease but that his diagnosis is not so grim, but Goldberg took the opportunity to talk up the actor, saying she was appalled by the way the tabloids invaded his personal life.
She also took the opportunity to thank Swayze for her big Oscar win for 1990s Ghost, a film she says she might not have been in were it not for the support of the actor.
Goldberg claims Swayze told director Jerry Zucher: "I'm not making this movie unless you put Whoopi in there." The two had yet to even meet.
Turning teary eyed, Goldberg then blew a kiss to the camera, saying, "We want you to feel better – we'll talk soon, I hope."
Earlier this week, news of Swayzes diagnosis spread like wildfire across the Web with his publicist confirming news Wednesday afternoon.
A statement made that afternoon read: "Actor Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. Patrick's physician Dr. George Fisher states, 'Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic.' Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects. The outpouring of support and concern he has already received from the public is deeply appreciated by Patrick and his family." Gay Link Content
