Rent's Poster Lesbians Tracie Thoms and Indina Menzel

The highly anticipated film version of the Broadway hit musical Rent opens in theaters nationwide in the US this week. Although the movie has so far received mixed reviews from critics, lesbian viewers will most likely give it a thumbs-up for two very good reasons – Tracie Thoms and Indina Menzel. The two women play Rent's poster lesbian couple performance artist Maureen (Menzel) and attorney Joanne (Thoms). Menzel and Thoms give admirable performances and their smokin' duet in the film is one of the best highlights of the movie. Check it out here.

Ellen DeGeneres Hits On Usher

On a recent episode of her hit talk show, Ellen DeGeneres had a grand time playing with her guest Usher, suggesting to the R&B; superstar that he needed to find a woman who loved dancing and had a sense of humor...

Want to Be a Queer Eye Girl?

The producers of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy are mixing it up in the new season. In addition to makeovers for celeb guests such as Michael Bacon and former NFL star Boomer Esiason, casting directors are looking for a few good gays to be on the show – and they want Gay.com to help find them. They are on the lookout for:

a gay man who's about to come out to friends and family
Fab Five wannabes who happen to be in their teens
a lesbian who welcomes a total physical makeover,
finally the candidates must live within a 30-mile radius of New York City, but don't let that stop you – even if you're in Idaho, certainly you must know someone in the Big Apple who fits the bill, so nominate someone. After all, don't you want to see Carson finally let loose on a dyke?

To participate, send an email with your name, phone number and photo to crodriguez@thequeereye.com
