Will & Grace's Debra becomes a mum

LOS ANGELES — Will and Grace television star Debra Messing, who plays the
scatty Grace Adler in the hit US show, has become a mother for the
first time, her spokeswoman said Thursday.

The comedy show portrays the antics of a straight woman, played
by Messing, and her best friend who is a gay man. The actress gave
birth to a boy on Wednesday, publicist Annette Wolf told AFP.
"The baby was born late last night. There is no name yet.
Everybody is fine. Everything is great," she said.
The baby, weighing 5 pounds, 14 ounces (2.7 kilograms) is the
first child for the Emmy Award winning redhead and her screenwriter
husband Daniel Zelman.
Doctors prescribed bed rest for Messing toward the end of her
pregnancy, forcing her to miss the final four episodes of Will and
Grace of this season. Grace was written out of the plot for those
